Solomon Kajumba and Assuzi Benjamin

Solomon Kajumba and Assuzi Benjamin, members of the Presbyterian Church of Uganda and former 3D trainees in 2019 have continued to use their discovered skills as carpenters.

Regarding his work and growth, Solomons says

"There are months that go by and you haven't got any contracts and there are times that you make a good deal. The months, of May/June, were the best because we made 300 desks, a closet, a pallet seat, and a dressing mirror. As soon as we are paid our labor costs, we pay tithe to our church, buy more machinery to grow our capital, and share the rest of the money for personal use. After being paid for the 300 desks we made, we paid a tithe of UGX 150,000, bought a planning machine (manual) and an electric grinder then shared the balance for family use. I have been able to support my family with the proceeds of what I am doing now.

Personally, I have been changed and want to change others through both what I do and what I teach. I have been helped and will be very happy to do so for others.  People trust me and I want to live that trust. I am one of the 3D trainers in my Church and am currently involved in training a group of youth in another congregation. I am also mentoring 2 students - Ontario and Isaiah with whom I help to practically use their skills. We involve them in our work and pay them for their labor. Recently, during my birthday celebration, one of them testified having been helped by our walk together saying I am mentoring him."
