Edna Japheth from Tabernacle Church
Edna Japheth from Tabernacle Church at Njiro in Arusha attended the Women Empowerment Program training on November 15th to 17th 2020 in Arusha, TZ. Her application of the training was to identify resources that she has or opportunities around her.
She has had a piece of land that had remained fallow for many years and not seen it as having a lot of potential in spite of the land being next to the river. As a result of this training, God opened Edna’s eyes to the potential just waiting for her to exhibit transformational kingdom stewardship of what she was entrusted with.
Upon completion of the women's training, she was able to realise her worth and value as a woman made in the image and likeness of God, with potential to be creative and productive. On her piece of land she decided to plant maize and fruit trees, specifically mangoes, avocado and bananas.
She was faced with drought and so she bought a water pump to irrigate her plants.

resources, she cultivated her land that had lain fallow for almost 7 years and planted these healthy bananas..
Today, the land is utilised properly and she has already had her first harvest of maize. “I will use the maize for my household needs as well as share with the needy people in the community as part of demonstrating God’s love to my neighbours. My potential was awakened during the CMS-Africa women training last year and I believe this is what every Tanzanian woman needs to hear if true transformation is to take place in our country,” says Edna, a mother of three.
