CMS-Africa Empower Youth through 3D Training in Mwanza

CMS-Africa Empower Youth through 3D Training in Mwanza on 1st January 1970

CMS-Africa has undertaken an impactful 3D (Discover, Develop, Deploy) training for 72 young people in Sengerema, Mwanza, Tanzania.

The 3D programme, renowned for its dynamic approach to personal and professional development, focuses on helping youth uncover their unique talents, hone them through mentorship and skill-building, and deploy these abilities in practical, impactful ways.

The training sought to guide the participants in identifying and nurturing their potential, and youths in attendance were encouraged to think critically about their goals, values, and skills, empowering them with tools for long-term personal and community growth.

Speaking during the event, CMS-Africa Country Coordinator for Tanzania Paul Kibona noted that the youth form a larger percentage of the country’s population hence they should be handheld to ensure their futures are secured.

“God has given all of us different talents. As CMS-Africa, we are therefore equipping the young people with the insight and skills needed to transform these talents into real opportunities for both personal growth, and community involvement. This way, we are equipping and empowering more youths for mission,” said Kibona.

The population of Tanzania has increased by 37% over the past decade to almost 62 Million according to the 2022 Population and Housing Census by the Tanzania’s National Bureau of Statistics, with Youths accounting for about 50% of the population.

With this youth bulge, CMS-Africa together with her partners is implementing the 3D programme to help youths unlock their full potential.
