The transformative story of Rev Beatrice Kihara
My name is Rev. Beatrice Kihara, and my journey is a testament to the power of faith, education, and unwavering support.
Through the sponsorship by the Mylne Trust, through CMS-Africa I was able to pursue my Diploma in Christian Mission and Civil Responsibilities (DCMCR). This opportunity transformed my life, equipping me with the knowledge and skills necessary to serve my church and community effectively.
For years, I felt a deep calling to serve in Christian ministry, but financial constraints made it difficult to pursue formal training. When I received the sponsorship, I knew it was a divine answer to my prayers. The program equipped me with essential knowledge and skills in biblical studies, leadership, evangelism, and community development.
After completing my Diploma, I was ordained as a priest and given the responsibility of leading a church as the vicar in charge. This role has allowed me to apply my knowledge in practical ways. I have led evangelistic missions, reaching out to communities beyond my parish and sharing the Gospel. Through preaching, worship services, and administering sacraments, I have been able to provide spiritual guidance to my congregation.
Beyond church leadership, I have been actively involved in community development. I have initiated programs that encourage self-reliance and sustainable development among church members. Additionally, I conduct Bible study sessions and mentorship programs, nurturing the faith and leadership potential of young Christians.
Looking back, I am immensely grateful for the support that made this transformation possible. The sponsorship not only educated me but also empowered me to serve. I am committed to using my skills and faith to inspire others, build the church, and transform the society.
