Rev. Bisoke started Youth Ministry in the Anglican Church of Congo in 1989. Since then he has been involved in leading a Youth Centre at the Diocese of Boga. He went for future studies at Carlile College and continued serving in the youth Ministry rising to become the Youth Coordinator for the Province from 2011 to date.
When Bisoke returned from UK, he held a meeting for the Youth in Bunia and started Bible studies with the young people
Rev. Bisoke Balikenga is the Youth Coordinator for the Anglican Church in DR Congo. He created a Youth empowering centre for Peace. They have acquired the land already under the Anglican Church in Bunia.
They have built 2 houses that are used by the Youth for their day to day meetings.
The Youth training centre in Mahagi is to be taken over by the Diocese of ARU. In November the Synod is to take over the Mahagi centre and build a church to serve the women and Youth
Bisoke is working with the Street Young people every Sunday and prays with them where they are working. It is more like the church on the street where the youth who wash car and do boda boda services to the local community in Bunia.
Youth Agape targets all the young People not just for the Anglican.
In Goma the political state is so high. The security people in Goma were involved in the training for the Youth. The trainings are much more on discipleship and in it spreads across to the peace and conflict issues which are still.
Since last year, the Youth in Goma were given some assignments and they are doing some good work in their communities and local churches.
The Youth moved on to do workshops in Boga, Katanga and Butembo and Aru diocese after his Goma workshop. The topics covered included discipleship, peace and conflict, development, Conservation, child evangelism, Women ministry, Gender mainstreaming,
The results of the Youth training is that many young people have taken up the church vision and are leading in the church. The youth are involved in evangelism and are attending Bible Colleges and coming with vigour to serve in the church.
They are leading praises and worship with powerful instruments.

- Pray for the planned meeting for all the Provincial Youth workers scheduled to take place in Kinshasa or Goma early next year. Rev. Bisoke is trusting God for provision of funds for this follow up meeting that seek review discipleship strategies for the diocese.
- Gatherings to share best practices from the various dioceses and churches
- Pray for Bisoke who trusting God to do a master’s degree in Peace is building so that he can continue training the Youth in his country.
- Pray for the Congolese Youth who have a passion for ministry and desire to be trained at Carlile College. They are trusting God for scholarship. Some of them are already in Kenya studying at Carlile College and lack school fees.
- Pray for Bisoke who trusting God to advance his studies in peace is building to as to better serve DRC Pray for Mama who is going through medication for her eye that developed a problem
