3D graduates Kyambio and New Dawn cohort at Carlil…
CMS-Africa recently graduated 30 Youth after successfully taking them through the 3D (Discover Develop and Deploy) Youth training Programme.
One of the graduating class was trained at New Dawn (one of the CMS-Africa partners in Nairobi) and another one took place at Kyambio in partnership with the Church Army's urban Programme.
The graduation was held on August 1st to celebrate the patience and a teachable spirit of the youth who persevered to go through the 3 training in the last 3 months.
“CMS-Africa rejoices in those who started the training and successfully finished it and are graduating today," says James Kweyu the Youth Training Coordinator.
In attendance were staff from the Centre for Urban Mission, Church Army Africa, CMS-Africa staff as well as New Dawn and supporters of the trainees attended this event.
Mary Njagi the head of the Centre for the Urban Missions thanked CMS-Africa for partnering with the Carlile College in empowering the youth to realise their full potential.
Nicholas congratulated the graduate who have gone through the trainings and completed the course.
Church Army Africa is a ministry of the Anglican Church under the Anglican Church of Kenya and is popularly known as Carlile College. Started in 1954 to train evangelists, church workers, and social workers who have had far reaching impact not just spiritually but in social wellbeing of the community.
Since then, church army has trained many church workers and the CMS-Africa training programmes, particularly the 3 D provides complementarity to the work of Carlile College” said MrsNjagi.
The students at Carlile College come from Malawi, Congo, Madagascar, and Uganda among other African countries. This provides a great platform for CMS-Africa which is based in Nairobi to get inroads into the EAST AND Central Africa through these Young church workers.
Other Course offered at Carlile College are diploma in Christian Missions, Diploma in civic and religious matters, diploma in social workdiploma in Chaplaincy for those interested in serving in this capacity in various institutions.
Church Army is keen to integrate its trainings with the CMS-Africa’s wholistic transformation trainings targeting the clergy, families, women and Youth.
