Youth in Morogoro Empowered Through 3D
CMS-Africa has empowered 40 youth in Morogoro through the Discover, Develop, and Deploy (3D) youth empowerment program.
The three-day training session, conducted at Kanisa Kuu La Utatu Mtakatifu, Dayosisi ya Morogoro – Anglikana, saw the youth embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery, vision-setting, and personal development.
Speaking after the training, Noeli Mkopi, one of the participants, noted that the sessions reshaped his mindset about life and challenged him to improve his income.
"Through this training, I have learned to have a vision, recognize my strengths and weaknesses, and discover who I truly am. Additionally, I now understand how to take on extra work to increase my income apart from my current job," he said.
Similarly, Loy Stanley Mgonde, another participant, expressed gratitude for the opportunity, emphasizing how the training deepened his biblical understanding of identity.
"Before, I could not fully understand myself in biblical aspects, but this training has changed my perspective. I am now determined to become a catalyst for change among my peers. Moreover, I have learned to set my vision for the next 10 years, which will push me to work hard towards achieving my goals. I am truly thankful," he remarked.
With a rising youth bulge in Africa and skyrocketing unemployment rates, CMS-Africa, through its 3D program, aims to equip African youth with the necessary skills to uncover their God-given gifts, talents, and opportunities to create lasting change in their communities.
