Teresa Nyagona Ruot Chuol came to Kenya from Egypt in 2011. She is a mother for six children. She is a skilled woman and has a business which deals with the making of table clothes and bed sheets. When she came to Kenya she was fortunate and was able to open a stall at Kenyatta Market, stall Number 415.
Her core business deals in making bed sheets, seat clothes, and table clothes and sells them locally and even exports some to places like Australia. Her profit margin in a month is Kshs 10,000 – 25,000.
Teresa says that Nairobi Baptist Church has been very helpful both spiritually and financially as they have sponsored one of her girls to school. Her testimony is that the Lord God provides for her.
Teresa was greatly pleased with the trainings on the wholistic transformation as delivered by CMS-Africa. “The role of a mother in parenting is what I enjoyed most considering that I am a single mother of six,” says Teresa.
She learnt a lot too on how to initiate and sustain her business from the CMS-Africa women training. For instance, Teresa was reminded of record keeping as a key component for anyone involved in business. She attests to the principles of stock taking, record keeping, marketing and selling.
Teresa thanks God for the South Sudan Fellowship at Nairobi Baptist which was conducted in Arabic. This fellowship has brought some semblance of unity amongst the various tribes of a south a Sudan resident in Kenya. “The God for Dinkas is the same God for Nuer, the same God of Kenyans is the same God of South Sudan,” Mama Teresa says
She prays for unity amongst the people of South Sudan not just back home but even in diaspora that is why she chose to go to a unifying fellowship conducted in the Arabic language and not a Nuer church which are many in Nairobi.

- The Lord God to provide for her children and all those children of her fellow Refugees.
- Pray for good health for Mama Teresa so that she can engage in business to provide for her family,
- Pray for her relatives in South Sudan including her mother who has fled to Khartoum due to the ongoing political instability.
