A total of 49 individuals from Chavakali have successfully graduated from CMS-Africa’s Financial Freedom for Families (F4) programme, marking a significant step toward financial empowerment and economic resilience in the region.

The F4 programme, developed by CMS-Africa, is designed to promote financial literacy and responsible resource management among families and communities. By equipping participants with practical knowledge on budgeting, saving, investing, debt management, and wealth creation, the programme seeks to break the cycle of poverty and foster a culture of stewardship and financial accountability within families and the church.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony, the CMS-Africa’s Country Coordinator for Kenya, Meshack Okumu praised the commitment and transformation witnessed among the participants.
“We have seen families change how they view and handle money. Many now have budgets, are tracking their expenses, and are saving consistently. This is the transformation we envision,” Okumu noted.
Graduates of the programme shared testimonies of how the training has helped them rethink their financial choices. Some have started small businesses, while others have cleared debts that once weighed them down.

One of the graduates, Fostine Aduvuka, said, “Before the training, I didn’t know where my money went. Now I have a plan, I started a doughnut business, and for the first time, I have been able to help my husband pay school fees for our children, and I believe I can build a bright future for my children.”

CMS-Africa’s F4 programme is part of its broader mission to empower communities through the biblical worldview. By instilling biblical principles of stewardship and practical financial knowledge, the initiative continues to inspire individuals and families across Africa to live with purpose, plan intentionally, and thrive economically.

The organisation plans to mainstream F4 principles in all her programmes to be able to equip more people with tools to take control of their financial future.
